Specialty wet molding allows leather to be shaped and sculpted into dimensional artwork and functional designs with depth, texture, and character that traditional flat leatherwork cannot achieve. This process can be used for custom bags, purses, wall art, cases, sheaths, fantasy pieces, and other unique creations.
Because every object, shape, and material reacts differently during the molding process, not all items or concepts can be successfully wet formed. However, Lairds Leather Lair works directly with clients to explore specialty designs, evaluate feasibility, and develop custom solutions for one-of-a-kind projects.
